To celebrate "Science week" in Cumber Claudy this year, the boys and girls of primary 4/5 took their learning outdoors to the school forest where they found an abundance of mini beasts to collect in individual pots to examine for similarities and differences, enabling them to discuss features, how they move and their habitats.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the topic and learning outdoors, where they were able to lift, examine and gently handle the mini beasts first hand instead of using pictures or photographs.
