Roots Of Empathy
Our theme these last few weeks has been all about sleep. We have learnt so much about sleep and how important it is for each and every one of us. When babies are tired they show us through their actions rather than words and it is important that we respond to what baby needs. P3 have been talking about transitional objects. A transitional object is a very special item that can comfort and soothe a baby when they are tired or feeling sad. We have enjoyed talking about our own transitional objects and what comforts us. As this theme comes to an end the children have been practising how to soothe a baby when they wake up and how to put them back to bed. Babies love lots of cuddles and physcial touch and it is so important that we put babies to sleep flat on their back.
