Harvest Festival
Parents, grandparents and friends joined us to celebrate harvest on Friday 20th October. Each class had prepared something to remind us how thankful we are to have a great harvest this year. Primary 3 performed the story of the Enormous Turnip and P1 sang Big Red Combine Harvester. The Greedy Farmer was a play performed by P4 and they finished it off by singing Farming Style, to the tune of Gangnam Style. Primary 2 performed the songs A Farmer's Life For Me and Bean Harvest. Thinking about the flooding we fell victim to in late August, Primary 5, 6 and 7 performed a sketch called Water, Water Everywhere. They also restyled Bon Jovi's hit Living on A Prayer to Water, Water Everywhere. The choir sang a compilation of thankful songs, Emma read from Corinthians, Annie said a prayer and Elva-Mae and Keeyan introduced each performance. Thanks to the Rev. Hibbert for kindly permitting us to use the church. Our collections for the Trussell Trust and Macmillan cancer care were very generously supported.
