Eggcellent eggsperiment

5th May 2016

Over the course of two weeks Primary Seven conducted an experiment to see just how bad some liquids can be for our teeth! We set up our experiment in week 1 by covering the eggs in a liquid, labelling our container and put kitchen roll over the top (to keep the smell in). We then made predictions about what would happen to the eggs.

We then left the eggs for a week to see what damage had been done!

As you can see the eggs changed dramatically! The vinegar made the egg go really rubbery, the coke stained the egg brown, whereas the orange juice and the Kick left the egg covered in sugar! Worst of all may have been the lucozade where you could literally peel the shell off the egg!
